1300°F (705°C)
Melting / Casting
No extra winds of the casting arm are required (2-3 winds typical)
Multi-orifice torch: 10 psi fuel and 20 psi oxygen.
Cast at around 2210°F (1210°C)
Finishing
Finish with aluminum oxide stones. Blast porcelain receiving surface with non-recycled aluminum oxide. Clean in ultrasonic for 10 minutes.
Conditioning
Oxidize from 1200°F (650ºC) to 1800°F (980ºC) in air. Hold for 5 minutes. Proceed with normal opaque technique.
Polish
ing
Use low speeds and light pressure. We recommend the use of tin oxide and/or high shine rubber wheels for easy final polishing.
Pre-solder
Recommended solder:
CPS
Flux-Brown Fluoride
Post-solder
Recommended solder:
650
Flux-Brown Fluoride
**1742°F for 10 minutes
