INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
The "TR" articulator is a semi-adjustable
non-arcon articulator with the additional functions
of retrusion and protrusion.
The "TR" articulator features a bipartite
condyle carrier which can be guided out of a fixed
pivot in both directions, pro- and re-, i.e. forward
and backward.
The centric position is ensured by the centric lock
screw. When completely screwed in, it immobilizes
the carrier in centric (zero-position). When screwed
completely out, by means of a special allen wrench,
the condylar path "falls" into retral position
(as it is a non-arcon type, it goes forward).
Retrusion is brought backward "by hand",
and is then fixed by the jam screw. The centric lock
screw fixes the condyles in quasi-zero either in retrusive
or protrusive position which is very helpful within
these eccentric positions for the handling of this
instrument.
1. Principle of construction:
The condylar box is divided into two parts. If the
centric screw is completely open, there will be space
for condyle retrusion of up to 2 mm.
2. Centric screw:
If the centric lock screw is completely screwed in,
the condyle is at zero position (centric). Loosening
the jam screw allows protrusion of up to 6 mm.
3. Side effect:
Adjustment of inclination is effected by slot-and-key
guidance.
