Most Dentist clients would probably agree when asked, that the most common reasons for changing dental laboratories include the following:

  1. The laboratory didn’t deliver the case on time…
  2. The laboratory didn’t read or completely follow the prescription
  3. The lab wasn’t consistent in delivering the quality restorations
  4. The laboratory failed to communicate effectively

While there certainly may be other important and noteworthy reasons for severing a relationship, most people would agree that the aforementioned failures are a product of the last failure listed. The lack of communication!

In the age of self-help infomercials, ‘books on tape,’ Franklin-Covey ‘Time Management’ seminars and Tony Robbins’ ‘motivational’ presentations, it remains a mystery why there are so many ineffective and dysfunctional interpersonal and business relationships. Why are there so few effective "One-Minute Managers?" We submit that while many individuals and businesses may profess to subscribe and/or practice these time-honored principles, most lack the commitment, self discipline and intestinal fortitude to make the commitment to honest, win/win ‘customer service’ and the ‘pursuit of a more excellent way.’

One instrument which progressive laboratories have incorporated into their armamentarium to improve communication and increase the probability of attaining a predictable, esthetic result is the Authentic® low-fusing Pressable Ceramic system. Authentic® is a practical, methodical system which affords the Dentist and the Laboratory the ability to simply & effectively communicate hue (basic tooth color/shade,) chroma (color saturation) and value (brightness.)

Authentic® provides 58 different fluorescent ingot (pressable pellet) choices in four opacity levels ranging from 20% to 70% opacity. With each increase in ingot opacity, additional fluorescence is added to increase vitality-this exclusive optical property precisely emulates the natural dentition in all lighting sources. This extensive assortment of both ingot shades and opacity levels, facilitates customized material selection specific to the clinical challenges and esthetic requirements unique to each case, rather than requiring the accommodation of each patient case to a limited, few ingots as is common in most other all-ceramic systems. Additionally, Authentic® is indicated for all types of restorations, including: all-ceramic inlays/onlays, partial crowns, full crowns, Press-To-Metal® crowns, PTM® inlay bridges, PTM® long-span bridges and PTM® hybrid- encapsulated bridges.

Because Authentic® may be used for all types of restorations, the ceramist may now focus on the artistry of creating beautiful smiles, rather than trying to disguise the use of different restorative materials. This extraordinary material technology translates to uniform optical refractive index in the mouth and vital, natural-looking smiles-even in combination (mixed media) cases. Simply stated, your patients will be ecstatic with the natural vitality and "pop" they observe in their new smiles.

On behalf of Jensen premium dental products, we respectfully invite you to experience Authentic® excellence when you prescribe Authentic® Pressable Ceramic or Authentic® Press-To-Metal® for your next esthetically demanding case.
