Anterior Function and Esthetics
- A two day hands-on program
- Concepts for Developing Anterior Function, Form, Labial
- Morphology and Optical Illusions
A variety of changes in the dental profession have resulted
in new and different challenges for todays dental
team. With stepped-up marketing, emphasizing the ideal esthetics,
the new millennium challenges the profession to have a complete
understanding of all factors that must be incorporated into
every anterior restoration. Using tooth colored dentin,
enamel and transparent waxes, each student will complete
a six unit anterior wax-up with emphasis on:
- The lingual function of the maxillary central, lateral
and cuspid as it relates to the "Occlusal Compass".
- How to design anterior guidance for group and canine
disclusion.
- The importance of outline form.
- How to use color and labial morphology to create optical
illusions.
- How these techniques will aid the dental team in fabricating
treatment plan wax-ups, provisionals and porcelain restorations.
